What scene is associated with industrial piercings?
Q. I want industrial piercings on both ears. But I don't wanna be seen as a poser of some scene. Would I look like a rivethead? I just wanna be myself.

A. man it doesn't matter at all if people see you being yourself and see that even with that piercing you're not letting it transform you into something you're not, then they're not going to do anything and they'll respect you for that

A. Ulysses (1954) starring Kirk Douglas, Silvana Mangano, Anthony Quinn, Rossana Podesta, Franco Interlenghi IMDb review excerpt: He then encounters the Sirens, whose songs lure sailors to their death. Plugging the ears of his men with wax, he has himself tied to the mast with ropes so that he can hear their call. I just checked IMDb to verify the year of release, as there are other films with that title. I see that the box art is of Ulysses aka Odysseus tied to the mast. You can see that image here:

What is a good scene in the odyssey to do a visual project on?
Q. Here are the guidelines: Create a visual depiction of one scene from any book (chapter) in The Odyssey. It must include on it a quote corresponding to the visual and the book number from which the scene comes. The visual could be a drawing, a model, a statue anything visual. Thanks in advance!

A. This whole story is VERY visual, so I would suggest you choose your favorite scene. The cyclops in his cave, the island of the sun with the barbecued cows, Odysseus clearing out the suitors with his son by his side...on and on. Good luck!

How can I write a realistic court scene?
Q. I'm writing a novel. In this novel I want to have a scene of a court case where the defendant is charged with domestic violence. I've been having a really hard time finding any court records or anything that would be useful in making this scene realistic. Is there some sort of "here is what happens in court" outline for writers? I am writer, not a lawyer, but I want the scene to be as realistic as possible. All I know I get from watching movies or episodes of Law and Order. Thank you!

A. The type of court case you describe sounds common enough. Courts are public places. Find out where in your locality such cases would be heard, and then go to the Court for a day or so and watch the cases in real life.

What kind of a music scene does Downtown Detroit have at nighttime?
Q. The next time I visit Downtown Detroit, I would like to check out the music scene. What kind of a music scene does Downtown Detroit have and where are the best places to see good music. I am interested in seeing contemporary new age music, classical music, and jazz music. Also, are the places to see good music safe to travel to at nighttime?

A. There are good hip-hop shows & I've been to a rave or 2. I wouldn't say it's necessarilly super safe but I do fine there everytime I go. There is a huge free event that lasts for an entire weekend. It's called D.E.M.F. (Detroit Electronic Music Festival). It's has a variety of artists (not only electronica) & is fun & safe. You should Google it. It has to be coming up soon.

How do you create a scene selection in windows movie maker?
Q. I'm making a karaoke for my sister and I want to be able to select from different scenes so she doesn't have to fast foward to get to a certain song. How do I create a scene selection, or make a break in between the songs? Is there any way??? Any help would be appreciated Thank you.

A. In order to make different "scenes" (similar to scene selection in commercial DVDs) you will need a DVD authoring program. You may have "Microsoft DVD Maker" as a part of your Microsoft bundle. If so, follow these steps: For your purposes, the most straightforward way to create scenes will be to create separate video files. 1. Create a folder on your desktop for the DVD you want to create. 2. Edit the first music sequence and save it to the folder. 3. Edit the second sequence and so on, saving each into the same folder. Close Movie Maker. 4. Open DVD Maker and browse your desktop for your files. Open the first one. 5. Click "Add items" until you have each separate movie file in the order that you want, then click "Next" 6. Find a menu… [cont.]

What scene in the movie Twilight captured the Edward Cullen you imagined?
Q. In some scenes, I was thinking- thats sooo not Edward Cullen! Other scenes I was like- YES! Thats totally him! I think the scene in the movie where Edward is playing the piano most closely resembles the Edward from my imagination.

A. ok first of all Cody or whatever your name is... considering 90% of women are in LOVE with Edward Cullen, instead of calling him gay and making fun of him, maybe you should read the books and take notes!!! Anyway... I agree with you, the piano scene captured him perfectly as the Edward I imagined <3 and I also liked him in the scene where he saves her from those creeps in the ally.. I thought it was hilarious that he acted like he was gonna run them over lol.

What is the point of the scene in batman begins where they break the defective masks?
Q. Usually in movies when they take a scene to point out a minor detail, it becomes important late in the movie. In batman begins they show Alfred breaking batman's mask to show that they are fragile due to a problem with the graphite, but this never seems to come up again. Any idea what the scene is for?

A. Meh I would have to just say it was a humorous scene in the montage of the whole costume making process. Before they talked about how they had to order in bulk to alleviate suspicion, this time around bruce jokes that now they will get a discount.

How can I film a night scene with only basic camera equipment (but decent software)?
Q. I am filming a video project for school. We have a very basic video camera/camcorder. We do not have any other camera equipment or lighting equipment. However, I am able to use Sony Vegas 9 to edit my videos. How can I film/edit a good-looking night scene? This scene is supposed to be inside a house, at night.
Asked by John S - Thu Nov 26 06:48:28 2009 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments
A. The only way you're going to get a half decent picture is to slow the shutter speed right down - there is usually a setting on the video camera if you can find a manual override in the menus. If you can't find this option, check if there is a "nightshot" option - Sony includes this on many of their models - this invokes an infra-red LED that will illuminate the scene and causes the picture to give off that greenish tinge popularised in the Blair Witch Project. Good luck - sounds like a lot of fun!

What scene from Hamlet is better portrayed in the movie rather than the book?
Q. I'm writing a paper on peoples opinions of hamlet. The question is what scene from hamlet do you feel is better portrayed in the movie rather than the book. I need opinions so feel free to express why you think that it is better. Or if you feel a scene is better in the book rather than the movie you can express that as well.

A. No scene in the movie is better than in the play. The play is the only purely unadulterated version of itself. Shakespeare's work does not need any improvement, as it is perfect as written.

How to write a scene were the main character is thinking of committing suicide?
Q. Do you have any tips for me on how to write a scene were the main character is going to commit suicide. (She's going to jump of a third floor balcony if it helps any.) I want to make it were the reader can feel how she feels, and understands why she thinks it's the only option. I don't want the reader to sit there and think 'Wow, this girl is such an emo'. Any tips would be helpful. Thanks.

A. You should read some a book where the main character thinks about committing suicide. I'm not suggesting stealing from the book or anything, but trying to see how the author did it to understand it more... The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath is very good first person book... The main character actually attempts it as well.

What is the best way to style scene hair without causing much damage to your hair?
Q. I'm planning on getting scene hair soon and I wanted to know ways I could style my hair. I've heard of many ways but those ways were very damaging, and I'd like to keep my hair healthy. So is there any way to style it without causing much damage. And what do you tell the hairdresser when you go to get your hair cut? What drugstore products are really good too use for styling your thin hair in the scene hairstyle.
Asked by Selena - Sat Jun 12 14:30:53 2010 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments
A. well if you want colors, I strongly suggest just getting some clip in ones. You can remove them when you wish, and the dye won't damage your hair. Plus, if you get bored of them, you just take them out. Use a really mousterizing shampoo and conditioner, and a heat protecting spray. If you backcomb your hair, only do it a little, and use a light hair spray. I forget the name, but its like AntiGravity by either Calvin or Kevin something. Its makes hair healthier, stay clean longer and works like magic.

A. well if you want colors, I strongly suggest just getting some clip in ones.

What is the significance of the piano scene in pride and prejudice?
Q. I am writing a college paper on the book Pride and Prejudice and we need to write about the significance of the piano scene with the conversation between Darcy and Elizabeth. I was also wondering why this scene is so significant and why it is important to the storyline of the book?

A. When you said piano scene my first thought was the conversation she and Darcy had at Rosings when she was playing, not the scene in the music room at Pemberly. It is really the first time Darcy 'flirts' with Elizabeth, and gives us a little insight to why Darcy seems so proud and standoffish. It is something of a turning point for Darcy I think, because he's making the move to converse with Elizabeth and share something of himself (contrasting with his avoidance of her when she left Netherfield).
